                                        Religion

You hear about it on the news, you see people fighting

over it, you hear people arguing over it, all this racket for

something people believe in but yet noone seems to

believe the same thing. I personnally don't believe in

religion, but I took the time to read the bible, King james

version, and to read some of the Koran. The only way that

you can truly interpretate a set of writings is to know the

writer and his or her intent. In the Bible, King james version,

and in the early part of the Koran, they refer to

Jesus as the word of God, so I guess that makes him the

writer. So to understand his intent, I would have to study and

understand things that he did. Try to put my mindset

in his, and what I find is a very amazing, and unique person, if you

could call him a person. He was very caring, compassionate,

loving, unselfish, gentle, kind, and forgiving. It is written how he

healed the sick, and fed the hungry. He was probably the best

example of what a human being should try to be like that ever

walked the earth. I never read once where he ever

actually condoned war, but yet you have all kinds of war that

claim to be supported by religion and his writings, sad isn't it.

The human body is without a doubt the ultimate machine. It is a

biochemical electrical activated human machine. We as human

beings are constantly trying to develop more efficient and longer

lasting machines based on what we know about ourselves and other

creatures that we share our planet with. So knowing this there

is no doubt there is someone or something that is greater than us

who designed us, and since I do believe this is true it is comprehendable

to me that he could come in the form of a man to show us who one

day we as a people of the world were created to be. Jesus was the

name of that form that was given. Some people may disagree with

my thoughts, but rather than argue the truth is, if we believed in all

that Christ did and has done and if every individual looked up to him

and respected him and followed him, would the world be a better place?

If so, what's wrong with that.

I don't remember the exact words that Paul wrote about knowing Christ,

but he does stress the important of knowing him. I do know that knowing

Christ is to know God, and through this the ancient scriptures will truly be

revealed,  through this, we will come to know who we are as

individuals and as a people.
