| | Well I
've seen where they outlawed the 50 bmg in the state of California. I have to
wonder what the legislatures in these states that pass these types of laws,
really think about what they are doing, or if they think at all. And how
many of you think about the effects of the laws they pass? Do you realize you
would have a better chance of winning the lottery than being harmed by a 50 bmg.
Does anybody really know how many innocent people have been killed by the 50
bmg? Some legislatures argue that if terrorist get these weapons, they will
use them to terrorize us, citizens of the U.S. But the truth is,
terrorist don't want big guns like the 50 at all, they've shown us exactly what
kind of weapons they prefer to use against us, which are car bombs, and other
cowardly acts, such as taking over airplanes with box cutters as they showed us
on 9/11. I will agree that the 50 bmg really serves no purpose rather than
target practice, but if target practice is what you like and you can afford to
shoot such a gun, and you are responsible, and as a free
citizen, you should have that right. And I really don't think that the
legislatures actually protected any of it's citizens by passing the
law.
The second
amendment allows all of the U.S., citizens to keep and bare arms, yet they're
are legislatures and even other countries that seem to have some interest
in disarming us the american citizens. They have all kind of arguments as to
why, but when I review history and see that a man like Hitler preached gun
control, like he was doing it for the people of germany, I have to wonder what
their motives actually are, and if gun control laws weren't passed in germany
and the people disarmed, would Hitler have been able to do all the damage
he done? And when you look thru history, hitler is not the only one
that used these types of controlling tactics. I am not saying all politicians
who say gun control are like Hitler, I;m sure there are some of them that
are mislead, and don't know any better. When looking back thru
the history of humanity, (it would be nice to be able to live in peace and
harmony with no violence), history seems to repeat it'self over and over and
what it says is, when there is a balance of power between the citizens and
their government or even governments of different nations the times will be most
peaceful because of the respect for one another, but when the scales are tipped,
and the government has all the power corruption will surely take over when their
only threat is no more than the voice of the people.
Gun
control is not a solution for violence in a free nation, it will only be a
problem. If you feel the same as I do after reading this article, then take the
time to call or write your state legislatures and TELL THEM WHAT TO
DO,
remember your legislatures are supposed to work
for you, not the other way around!!
